When can I get Diakto?
Diakto is in development. A public download, launch date, and pricing haven’t been announced yet. This website will be updated when it’s ready.
Which files can I search?
Diakto supports PDFs, Word and WordPerfect documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and several other document formats. Text and source-code indexing can be enabled in Settings. Extraction and preview support vary by format.
Does Diakto change my original documents?
Indexing reads your selected files and stores searchable text in a separate local database. OCR adds text to that index; it does not rewrite your original PDFs.
Does it work with Dropbox folders?
Diakto can index supported files in folders you select, including downloaded files in Dropbox. Online-only files are deferred until they’re available locally; Diakto does not request bulk downloads.
Do I need AI or a cloud account?
No. Core file search does not require AI, a model download, or a cloud account. Local AI and Microsoft 365 mail indexing are optional features with separate setup.
